Our Approach to Ceiling Texture Removal
Older popcorn ceilings can contain asbestos depending on the home's age — we discuss this with you before starting and can recommend testing if the home's age warrants it.
Scraping texture leaves an uneven surface underneath, so skim-coating is a necessary step, not an optional upgrade, for a ceiling that reads as smooth once painted.
Dust containment is one of the most disruptive parts of this project if done poorly — we mask the room fully before scraping so cleanup doesn't turn into a bigger job than the ceiling work itself.
